We went to Splitsville this past weekend with some friends and enjoyed it. While there wasn’t enough to keep my kids busy – since there was a 3 hour wait on the bowling lanes – I will absolutely go again with adults. The food was decent and during happy hour (4-7 even on weekends) they had $3 cheeseburgers and $5 pizzas. My whole crew ate for about $10!!
They have an adult atmosphere with two different bars in the center and lanes spread throughout the building, as well as pool tables in a separate area. After 10 p.m. on weekends, it is 21 and up.
Keep in mind this is more old school Dave and Busters than it is Main Event or Strikz – no laser tag, no video games, and not a million kids underfoot. After 6 p.m. they even ask for everyone to wear dressy casual – which is apparently open to interpretation since we saw lots of jeans, t-shirts and sweatshirts when we went at 7:30 p.m.
Today only you can get a $17 Groupon that’s worth $35 in credit at Splitsville. As you can tell by the cost of our family meal, that can go a LONG way if you use it correctly.
