The Nest

This past Thursday my crazy SIL (far left) and her SIL (next to the end on the right) – who writes Running with Untied Shoes – and I all went to a local blogging event called Post.

Post was put on by The Nest, Hello, Splendor and Fabulous K.

It was great to get out and do something as an adult and it was even sort of “work” related!

Traffic was horrible, so we had to scrap our plans to eat nice and grabbed Pei Wei – which is my favorite anyway.

Then we booked it over to The Nest in order to be one of the first 30 and get a swag bag . . . I mean come on, I’m a deal blogger – FREE stuff is where it’s at, right?!?! (Besides, I’m pretty much sure that my SIL would have melted into the ground if we hadn’t gotten our swag. Gotta keep the fam happy. You know that’s how I roll.)

But I have to admit, it was some sweet swag:

Susan Posnick Cosmetics

My favorite was this necklace from Vintage Pearl:

vintage lovebirds (hand stamped jewelry)

Except the only piece we were missing is the initials, obviously.

We were able to mingle, meet a few new blogger friends and take a look at the cool stuff The Nest had to offer. Here are a few of my favorite things:

Big Mozart

Obviously, I’m all about kid things . . . LOVE this huge sock monkey. He’s about 22 inches tall so he would be perfect for my boys to roll, wrestle and play with. Although I’m afraid he might not keep his stuffing very long.

Love PillowKey Pillow-longLove Pillow- Aqua-Terra-Ivory

Some great pillows.

Taschen's London

And this is great! Think Frommer's picture book. It highlights all of the important places to visit in places like London, Paris, New York, and great pictures!

There were so many cool items in the store. It was fun to walk around and just look at everything.

I felt a little out of my league and was hoping to do a bit more networking with other bloggers . . . but it was wonderful to hang out with the SILs and attend my first blogging event. Hopefully there will be lots more in the future.
