One of the things I love the most about Etsy is that it allows the consumer to find JUST what they’re looking for. I’m a bit funky and eclectic in my taste. I settle for mundane when I have to, but if it was up to me everything would look like the “Mod 60s” (I just learned that from a friend) with a touch of Texas and a few traditional elements.
I know, you don’t see that decorating scheme in too many stores, do you?
Well, recently I found a store on Etsy that does a great job of reflecting my love of bright colors – Puking Pastilles.
Funny enough, she doesn’t actually sell stuff . . . she sells the patterns to make the stuff. But I convinced her that she needed to do some “stuff” and sponsor our Blogmania Event.
She sent me this CD Visor Holder to review:
Isn’t it lovely? I’m all about mine. In fact, I kind of don’t want to keep any CDs or DVDs in it because it will jack with the color scheme.
The workmanship is great and I love her attention to detail. She has just a few of these Visor Holders available right now in her Etsy store.
She does a GREAT job of the things she makes, so I have no doubt that her patterns are equally as helpful. I know some of you readers out there are incredible crafters and seamstresses – you could do these things! Just think, you could make all of your Christmas gifts! How much $$ would that save?
Check out her site! She has patterns for all kinds of things – and unlike the patterns you buy at the store, these are in every day language and you have access to the author if you get confused our stuck. And you can watch her FREE how-to videos on YouTube, too.
I’m telling you, it’s the best.
